Dear RMEF Volunteers,
To say that 2020 has been a challenging year would be an understatement, and every one of us has been affected in a myriad of ways. It has been one of those times in history that I hope we never have to experience again. However, through the diversity of issues we have encountered as a TEAM this year, the thing that has never failed is our resilience. We continue to strive forward for the RMEF mission.
As a TEAM all across the country, we have pulled together our resources. We’ve been able to capitalize on the strong support from our volunteers, members and donors to mitigate the financial shortfalls we have endured by not being able to host our usual in-person events. We’ve seen uplifting creativity and determination from our dedicated team of people that love elk, other wildlife and wild places.
No one has a playbook and timeline as to when we will get to the other side of this, so I would ask that you continue to keep a positive attitude. As a TEAM, we continue to work on alternate avenues of fundraising and continue to trust that things will someday return to a state of normalcy. I believe the future holds many happy times when we can all gather at our local big game banquets as conservationists and hunters to continue the great success of the RMEF mission.
When we do emerge on the other side, RMEF will be standing strong and ready. I believe that our best years as an organization making a huge impact are still yet to come.
In closing, stand proud of what each of you have done and continue to do for elk country. Your dedication of time and hard-earned revenue for the RMEF mission continues to be nothing short of a great success. You have a large impact on future generations of hunters, anglers and all outdoor enthusiasts.
Yours in Conservation,
Chad Franklin
