Authorities need your help finding the person(s) responsible for poaching a bull elk in northern Wyoming. Someone shot and killed the elk, removed its head and left the meat to rot near Upper Powder River Road north of Interstate 90 near Sheridan.
“Everything about this killing was illegal and unethical,” Tony Tobiasson, Wyoming Game and Fish Access Yes coordinator, said as reported by KTWO radio. “We really hope someone comes forward with a tip that will help solve this case.”
Authorities say the poaching likely took place on August 29. 2019, two days prior to the opening of Wyoming’s hunting season on September 1.
