Below is a call-to-action email sent to the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation’s California membership.
The Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation supports two bills under consideration in the California State Assembly.
One of them allows the use of hounds in human-bear conflicts and would give the California Fish and Game Commission authority to allow hunting take in the future. A small rally in support is scheduled just outside the Capitol at 8:15 AM on April 29, the day of the bill’s hearing.
The other bill raises incentives for landowners who take part in Shared Habitat Alliance for Recreational Enhancement (SHARE), a program that offers increased public access to private land.
RMEF urges you to ask your elected representatives to vote “yes” for these two bills by sending them a message here.
