General , Poaching | August 19, 2024

Below is a Facebook post from Sasktip, an organization that works with Saskatchewan Conservation Officers to solve poaching cases. For 2024-2025, Fiocchi partnered with the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation to increase the visibility of poaching incidents in an effort to reduce poaching.

On July 31, 2024, Nipawin conservation officers received a TIPP call regarding a bull elk that had been shot and left to waste, approximately 11 miles east of Arborfield, Saskatchewan. Officers believe that the elk was shot sometime between July 28-30. Some evidence was collected on scene, but officers now need your assistance in finding the individual responsible.

You can receive a cash reward of up to $2,000 for providing information to the Turn-in-Poachers and Polluters line at 1-800-667-7561. You can remain anonymous, and your name will never be released.

If you have any information that can help officers find who committed this violation, please call.
