Below is a call-to-action email sent to Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation members in Arizona.
Radical animal rights activists plan to attend this week’s Arizona Game and Fish Commission hearing to decide the fate of two anti-hunting, anti-wildlife management petitions.
The Center for Biological Diversity wants to remove a pursuit-only season for bears, lions and raccoons. Plus, it wants to ban dogs as an allowed method of take for bears, lions, rabbits, tree squirrels, predators and furbearers.
RMEF expects commissioners to reject the measures but is joining other conservation and hunting groups in opposition to generate a large showing of support. The meeting takes place on Friday, April 11 at 8 a.m. at Arizona Game and Fish Headquarters (5000 W Carefree Highway in Phoenix).
