Three men from west-central Oregon admitted to their roles in poaching an elk in September of 2017.
They knowingly entered property owned by Roseburg Forest Products to chase and kill a bull elk. The property was posted with “no trespassing” signs because of fire restrictions.
Oregon State Police indicate the three will pay a combined $16,000 in fines. The penalty also includes time in jail or on a work crew, the forfeiture of archery equipment and the suspension of hunting privileges.
