Hunters in New Mexico will have an additional 13,750 square miles of state trust land to roam during the fall 2020 hunting season thanks to a recent transaction. The New Mexico Department of Game and Fish secured access to the land thanks to an $800,000 payment to the State Land Office for an easement.
According to the Associated Press, hunters can utilize 67 different locations to enter the land. Go here to view the access points.
The deal also includes $200,000 worth of projects such as building a new campsite and road upgrades.
