After relocating to Kalispell, Montana, from Casper, Wyoming, in 2001, Jared’s family joined the RMEF’s Flathead Chapter as a way to meet new people. He was active for seven years, eventually becoming the chapter’s co-chair his senior year in high school. He attended college at the University of Montana in Missoula, where he joined the Blackfoot-Clearwater Chapter and became a member of the Montana State Leadership Team. Jared spent two years as a Montana district chair before becoming the Great Elk Tour manager in 2009. “The Great Elk Tour has allowed me to travel and learn from other RMEF staff and volunteers, and I am very grateful for the time I spent traveling with the tour,” he says. “I look forward to growing and learning in my new position as a regional director and am excited to once again work hand-in-hand with RMEF volunteers.”
